The Stone Group recognises that their activities have an impact on the environment and are committed to the prevention of pollution through a process of continual improvement. Our aim is to develop sensible practices which will seek to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment.
In order to sustain and protect the environment we will:
- Ensure that waste and pollution is minimized through compliance with relevant legislation, seeking where possible to comply as soon as feasible with upcoming directives and legislation.
- Use our best endeavors to ensure that we follow sound environmental practices in manufacturing, transportation, installation and service.
- Discuss environmental issues regularly at the highest level within the Company. Reviewing policy objectives and setting new targets at planned management reviews
- Encourage the take up of environmental initiatives within the company
- Regulate and improve our manufacturing and delivery processes to minimise the effect on the environment. Where possible we will bulk pack product deliveries or re-use packaging removed from customer sites to minimise environmental impact.
- Seek the active participation and co-operation of our employees in improving our environmental performance.
- Ensure that our products can be easily dismantled during end of life treatment and to provide information supporting this where necessary or where ease of disassembly is not possible.
- To source products and system components which have the least impact on the environment or an improved environmental performance either in manufacture, use or at end of life.
This policy is to be communicated to all employees and organizations working on behalf of the company.
