10th October 2008, Staffordshire, UK - Stone Group, a leading IT provider and the UK’s second largest OEM, has today announced the appointment of two senior executives to its management team – Colin Capewell and Simon Fowler. Capewell joins as Group Sales Director, while Fowler joins Stone Group as Director of Infrastructure Solutions. Both executives will be based at Stone Group’s Headquarters in Stone.
Capewell takes over from Stone Group’s former Group Sales Director, Jamie Russell, who has retired early through ill-health. Boasting a highly successful sales track record that includes over ten years experience for a number of authorised BMW dealerships, Capewell held senior positions including Dealer Principal, General Sales Manager and Aftersales Manager.
Capewell’s ability to drive sales forward are reflected by many notable achievements at BMW, including being voted the ‘Largest Dealer in the UK for Used Car Sales Volumes in 2007’ while at Robert Stern BMW. He also played an instrumental role in the team that won Regional Dealer of the Year and National Dealer of the Year for 2003. In 2005, Capewell also helped Rydale Sutton secure a top ten position out of 154 dealers for new car sales growth.
Fowler brings to the Stone Group his significant experience in sales and marketing, gained from over 12 successful years within the IT industry. Previously, Fowler held senior management positions at Insight, Morse and Dell. At Insight, Fowler was accountable for UK services and solution sales. Guided by his leadership and motivation, Fowler’s solution sales team consistently over-achieved its sales results, driving significant growth.
