The Opengear EMD5000 environmental monitoring device plugs into the serial ports on the console servers and enables you to remotely monitor environmental conditions using a standard Web browser.
Monitors temperature, humidity, and status of one contact/sensor (supports two contacts/sensors when connected to console servers with Classic pinout)
Works with Opengear console server to provide secure authenticated access
EMD can be located up to 10 meters (33 feet) from console server
Measures ambient temperatures between -20º and 80ºC
Measures relatively humidity between 10 and 90 percent
Readily available smoke detector, vibration sensor, water leak detector and door open/close sensor
Displays current status and history in console server web-based UI
Option to maintain local or remote audit logs of temperature, humidity and sensor status
Supports user-defined thresholds for temperature, humidity, and contact closure status
Auto-sends alarms on any critical or warning threshold and on contact closure events
Can attach multiple EMD devices to serial ports on each console server
