Laser-optimized multimode fiber patch cable (LOMMF) OM5 is ideal for 850-953 nm vertical cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) sources and 1300 nm LEDs. Compatibility This 50/125µm multimode fiber optic cable is backward compatible with OM4 and OM3 10G networks, ensuring a reliable connection in traditional fiber environments. LSZH Cable Jacket Encased in a flame-retardant LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) sheathing, OM5 fiber cable emits little vapor and toxic fumes when exposed to extreme heat or in the event of fire. This enables safer cable installations in areas with poor ventilation, including some industrial environments, enclosed environments such as trains and airplanes, and residential environments where building code compliance must be considered. Each OM5 fiber cable is also individually tested to ensure insertion loss performance that meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA-568 industry standard for guaranteed compatibility and 100 percent reliability.
