2017 has gone by as quick as a flash, and whilst it has been an enchanting year, it’s time to cast our magic on 2018. And for January, that can only mean one thing in the edtech world – BETT.
The world’s leading edtech event is back for another year at the ExCel in London. The show where leading companies can celebrate and chat about all things education and the crucial role technology will play in shaping the future of learning.
And of course, Stone will be there in the thick of it all. From the 24th – 27th January you can catch us on stand E184, showcasing how Stone and our dedicated partners can help transform the learning experience through our innovative solutions. So, what have we conjured up for BETT ’18?
Come and visit us
This year we’ll be schooling you on how our tech solutions can truly immerse students into the learning experience and the benefits our tech can bring to the classroom setting.
As technology continuously develops, so will the issues facing education and with that we’d like to address your key concerns and invite you to come and chat with our Stone experts.
The SOS licensing surgery is also back this year. Find out what tricks our licensing specialist Emma Rolfe has up her sleeve to help with your OS and software dilemmas and save you money. You can book a meeting with Emma by scheduling yourself into her online calendar but hurry, as she’ll soon be pretty stacked.
There’s also something for our HE visitors too, whether it’s hardware support or the advice on the best software out there, you can talk to our technology whiz kids who will be on hand to help you out. You’ll also be able to book appointments with your Account Manager should you need them.
We’ll also be showcasing the latest additions to the Stone hardware family. It’s a big secret for now but you can catch the big tech reveal and experience live demos of the powerful and mysterious new devices all week on stand E184.
And whilst we’re on the topic of big reveals, we’ll also be unveiling our new and improved Stone website, this will be the first preview of our website and your views are important to us, so come along and tell us what you think.
Recycling & Refurb
Did you know we’re the only UK based IT manufacturer with our own recycling facilities? Our recycling and refurb area is your chance to see how and where the magic happens. Our stand will give you a truly unique experience of what goes on behind the scenes at our recycling facilities here at Stone HQ.
You’ll also witness how we manage to restore old IT kit into new, refurbished kit. Unfortunately, there won’t be any spells involved, but you won’t forget this experience in a hurry.
They’ll be lots to see from our partners area too. We have a whole library of partners including Microsoft, Intel, Avantis and Gooseberry Planet. This part of our stand is where you can discover how our strategic partners could be the solution to your most pressing educational issues, including e-safety and cloud computing. You’ll definitely want to snoop around this area.
There will be an array of industry expert speakers throughout the day informing and advising us all on insightful key themes around education, including our very own Emma Rolfe, who will be speaking on Smoothwall’s stand (D184) about the key issues surrounding safeguarding and online safety. Safeguarding is a hot topic amongst schools as they increasingly play an essential role in keeping children safe from abuse, so this session is not one to be missed.
You can catch Emma on Wednesday 24th at 14:00, and make sure you register to attend the speaker sessions here, where you’ll also be entered into Smoothwall’s prize draw to win a brand-new Amazon Echo.
And if that’s not enough, there’s plenty of giveaways and goodies on our stand too, as well as our own competition you can enter yourself into. We think you’ll want to enter this as the prize is too good to pass up!
There’s so much more to expect from us at BETT this year and this is only a taster of what’s to come. We hope you’re as excited as we are and we’ll see you from the 24th onwards!
