Stone have been supporting IT Schools Africa, a charitable organisation who are transforming lives through access to e-Learning, for almost 10 years now.
Due to the abundance in perfectly serviceable computers that were collected by our IT recycling team, our initial desire was to find an organisation who would benefit from the usage of these machines that no longer met with the requirements of EU markets but were still in working condition.
This is when we came across IT Schools Africa and became their premier sponsor, offering them long-term commitment to donating substantial quantities of used and recycled computers. This would allow ITSA to distribute the machines across various projects they run across Africa.
Stone donate over 2,000 computers
From our first donation of 123 computers, we have since donated 2,545 computers along with 301 laptops, that’s an average of 400 units per annum!
This donation of IT equipment has been transforming the education of children living across Africa in Malawi and in Zambia:
Chiradzulu Secondary School, Chiradzulu, Malawi
Ekwendeni Girls Secondary School, Mzimba, Malawi
Lil Poppins School, Blantyre, Malawi
Fabelinta Christian Academy, Ndola, Zambia
Kasela Primary School, Chama, Zambia
Lukwesa Secondary, Mwensa, Zambia
We are very proud to have supported IT Schools Africa for the past 10 years, and we will continue to do so for years to come.
How you can get involved with IT Schools Africa
By recycling your redundant IT hardware through us you too are supporting this exceptionally deserving charity which is making a real difference for underprivileged children in Africa. To reflect this we can issue Certificates of Appreciation and you can display these with pride as recognition of the role you’ve played in the project.
