We’re delighted to announce the launch of the third generation of the Stone Integrum – a combined server and storage appliance designed specifically for education.

 

Stone Integrum v3 is a core infrastructure appliance encompassing a powerful state-of-the-art hardware platform, a virtualisation layer and applications, tools and resources. Designed in partnership with Intel and Microsoft, Integrum makes available the very latest datacentre technology to schools and further education establishments at an affordable price. It includes:

  • Up to 4 server nodes per chassis
  • Flexible expansion options to add nodes, compute power and storage beyond the chassis
  • 6x increase in storage performance
  • 4x increase in read-write speed
  • Intel NVMe drives
  • Hybrid or all flash options available
  • Custom assembly

Stone Integrum v3 provides the storage and compute for Stone Unity, a hybrid cloud solution specifically for Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs). Accessible to Trust members at a pace set by them, Unity enables MATs to harmonise their networks, scale and control the services they run and provide better security for pupil and staff data.
