We are seeking a People Operations Advisor to join our People Operations Team for a 9-month maternity cover.

 

We are looking for someone to manage the delivery of an efficient, legally compliant, timely, accurate, consistent and proactive People Operations support and advice service that surpasses our customers ‘expectations Whilst ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency of processes.

 

Key tasks will involve:

 

·   Provide efficient business focused People Operations administration and support service; working collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of all People Operations policies,procedures and systems.

·         To identify People Operations administration and payroll synergies, systems, following required process and offering continuous improvement suggestions.

·         To research current best People Operations practice of administration by utilising external information sources and benchmarking practice.

·         To review new legislation requirements and ensure communication and consideration of implications and revisions to administration procedures.

·         Become familiar with standard reports in the people operations system. Produce and validate reports upon request to deadlines as required.

·         Develop and maintain user-friendly and effective spreadsheets and databases based on information provided eg ER Case Tracker

·         Typing to a high standard, preparation of draft agendas, taking formal minutes including investigation interview notes, production of training material and provide the support for meetings as required.

·         To record management information to support board reports and statutory requirements for data relating to employees.

·         To maintain the organisation design charts

·         To coach and support line managers with performance management and disciplinary matters

·         Maintaining the full employee lifecycle from onboarding including creation of contracts through to termination

·         Process set up of new employees on people operations systems and associated new starter documentation, including but not limited to offers, contracts, relevant security checks, references. Dealing with routine correspondence, liaising with relevant recruiting manager as necessary.

·         Advise hiring managers and support Recruitment, Diversity and Inclusion Manager with recruitment requests including assisting with questions to be asked at interview.

·         Advise hiring manager on induction for new starters and conduct People Operations elements as required.

·         Ensuring relevant eligibility to work documents are maintained for employees in line with UK legislation.

·    Assist with the implementation of a core learning and development programme to cover regulatory and technical training, employee development and career planning

·       Assisting the People Operations team in the management, development and delivery of suitable employee training, including all training administration. Support and report on the delivery of training programmes against an agreed matrix of training requirements.

·         Ensuring that staff training needs are fully identified and mapped from appraisals and performance reviews through to delivery and updating of training records.

·         Review employee Performance Reviews to identify training requirements and undertake a skills gap analysis to suggest areas where skills can be improved

·         Attend careers fairs and build relationships with job centres, universities, colleges and schools

·         To manage all aspects of recruitment, absence and learning and development administration and ensure that People Operations intranet pages are maintained

·     To be a key member of the People Operations team actively contributing to achieve objectives, work in collaboration with all members of the team, and retain a collective responsibility with other members of the team to provide a professional, knowledgeable and customer focused service.

·         To deputise for and support the People Operations Manager

 

The suitable candidate will have GCSES at grade C or equivalent in Maths and English and A Levels. They will also be confident and able to build relationships with internal managers, be computer literate with experience of working with Microsoft 365 and excel, be accurate with excellent attention to detail and have the ability to identify and communicate errors quickly, be a team plater with an excellent attitude, have a sound knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding People Operations Management with good working knowledge of the administrative framework surrounding day to day operation of the People Operations Function.

 

It is also desired but not essential to have a CIPD Qualification, Strong experience in project management and conceptually minded, experience in a People Operations generalist role.

 

Full training will be provided

 

 

Job details:

This is a full-time position - 37 hours per week 

The working days are Monday to Friday
