We are seeking a Repair Centre Operative to join our Repair Centre team.

The role will be responsible for booking in and dispatching devices for repair in the Repair Centre.

 

Key tasks will involve:

  •  Booking in devices for repair in the Repair Centre, identifying the type / make of machine, that the device is entered onto the Company systems and identifying / listing any accessories.
  • Photographing any devices to identify condition and uploading onto the Company systems.
  • Following repair and prior to dispatch, devices are cleaned and packaged, ensuring that all accessories are returned at the same time.
  • Updating the Service Helpdesk on their individual cases where required.
  • Checking through the Repair Centre cases to ensure they are at the correct stage of repair.
  • Carrying out basic computer repairs to assist in the distribution of workload amongst the Repair Centre Technicians.
  • Locating of new and used parts to correct locations.
  • Comply with the Data Protection and other accreditation requirements.
  • Always maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment and flexibility to working within a changing environment and culture.
  • Being a proactive member of the Service/Repair Centre team supporting and sharing information with your colleagues.
  • Comply with Stone’s internal management systems and safety procedures.
  • Support Stone’s sustainability strategy.
  • To undertake any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the reporting Manager.

 

The suitable candidate will have three GCSEs or equivalent and admin/warehouse data entry and excel experience.

It is also desired but not essential to have acknowledge of IT device and IT components. 

 

Full training will be provided

Job details:

This is a full-time position - 37 hours per week

The working days are Monday to Friday
