Do you have questions about applying to and working at Stone? You're likely to find your answers here. Below are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions to help you through the process.

Do I have to apply online?

Our applications are online through our website or Indeed. We also have a digital and paper application form available on request. To request a paper application please contact [email protected] or call us on 0178500000

How long does it take to hear about my application?

 It can take up to 3 weeks to hear back about your application. This is so the recruiting manager can collate the applications.

Do you have any part-time positions?

Depending on job role and function we may be able to offer part time working. This would be on a case-by-case basis and be discussed at interview stage. If you require part time working please state on your application.

What happens to my details after I've applied?

Your details are securely stored for 6 months and after that time deleted and any paper copies are destroyed confidentially.

If I'm unsuccessful, will you keep my application for future vacancies?

We keep applications for 6 months before we remove them from the applicant pool, after 6 months you would need to reapply.

I cannot upload my CV?

 Please ensure that your are uploading your CV in the correct format (.PDF , .DOCX) if you are still having difficulties you can email your CV in to HR on [email protected] and we will match your CV up to your application.
Please note if you submit an application without a CV and do not send the accompanying CV in within 48 hours your application will be removed from the candidate pool.

How do I contact before my interview?

How old do I have to be to join Stone?

You must be at least 18 years old or be able to provide evidence that you are not required to be in full-time education.

How will I get paid?

Stone pays your salary on the last Friday of every month (excluding December and Bank Holidays.) This is via BACS payment directly into your bank account.

Do I have to wear a uniform?

Several roles within the business are required to wear a uniform that is provided for you including, relevant safety wear such as protective footwear and hi-vis vests.

Will I get any training?

Training is provided on the job, and we have a dedicated e-learning portal that provides training on our policies and health and safety. There will also be opportunities for continuous development within the business.

I have received my interview date, but I am unable to make it, or I require an adjustment to support me at interview?

Please contact a member of our HR team at any stage of the process so that we can make the necessary reasonable workplace adjustments.

What documents do I need to use for proof of right to work?

We are required to check every employee’s proof of right to work and we accept a number of documents such as:

  • UK passport
  • UK birth certificate and document containing proof of NI Number
  • Share code for checking eligibility to work in the UK for non-UK nationals

Why do I need to provide my proof of right to work?

All candidates are required to provide proof of their Right to Work in the UK in the amendment to the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
